    Tab-target combat / action-combat / a mix of both / or something else?

        Summary of what I currently think would be best:

        • tab combat system, but focus on action skills;
        • with action skills (most abilities not requiring a target);
        • limit hit-cones of these attacks to hit only one 'nearest/front' target (and not any target behind that target);
        • and have tab-target/mouse select aim for range (no one wants to cast spells or arrows using action combat);
        • and make sure arrows and spells can be blocked after launched (ex: warrior running into spell to protect priest);
        • as little tab-target keybinds as possible.
        • don't allow shortcuts/keybinds for smart-action things: like [auto target healer] or [auto target lowest HP enemy]. just basic stuff like [target of my target] or [player from own group];
        • no auto-attack;
        • combat system that allows to negate/reduce some damage skills through good reactions (but not all);
        • replace classic long-time buffs (things like 20m stamina buffs) with action-buffs that last 1-5 seconds to negate/change/counter attacks.

        I will expand on this explanation soon.
